Get the London Look
I’m slowly filling in the details of London Fashion Week. I’ve long loved Erdem & Marchesa and have followed Alexa Chung’s personal style for nearly a decade, but other than that London fashion designers have mostly managed to keep off my radar. This year I discovered Richard Quinn & Mary Katrantzou, two more wonderful designers who really embody what it is to show at LFW. It’s pretty well laid out between the four major fashion cities – Paris does couture, Milan does glamour, New York is very young and London brings the edgy artistic designers. I hope you enjoy this collection of my favourite looks from London Fashion Week Spring 2019.
I think ALEXACHUNG loves the sixties as much as I do. Alexa has been a personal stye icon of mine since 2010 and I still love to see what she’s wearing and how she’s styling. No one can do casual tomboy chic like she does, doesn’t stop me trying though! Don’t you just adore a honey brown suede? I will never tire of it, nor the shortest & cutest date night dresses and of course jelly sandals.
Preen by Thorton Bregazzi
I love so much from the Preen by Thorton Bregazzi Spring collection. The mixed prints & patchwork-like construction of the garments. There is always room in my closet for off-the shoulder lace tops & dresses. One of my favourite pieces is the cut-out lace work dress, fit for a fairy. Pairing the young & feminine clothes with vintage-style brown leather shoes & sandals & beige frill socks. Finally, love the makeup free models – I’m currently working on a post regarding modern beauty standards, I hope you’ll read it and give me your opinion.
So much diversity at Richard Quinn. From the black babydoll style tutu dress and oversized bow, to the elegant & embellished evening wear and the very graceful ostrich-feathered dress. Absolutely gorgeous and wearable pieces of art.
