Imagination & Fairytale Inspiration
So much whimsy was present at Milan Fashion Week. Inspiration from children’s storybooks, exaggerated silhouettes & bringing the fashion design process right to the runway. Be sure to let me know your thoughts & favourite pieces.
The most creative collection at Moschino Taking the looks literally from the sketches to the sewing room. Love the first look on Kendal Jenner, like a modern day Eliza Doolittle at the ascot. But…the finale look on Gigi Hadid, which saw her walking down the aisle in a wedding dress, her veil and flying butterflies floating down the runway carried by men in black. Side note, I’m so excited to see what Jeremy Scott will be doing for the H&M x Moschino collaboration this autumn.
Vivetta had the dreamiest florals and pastels. These pieces look as though they were taken from either a Monet, a children’s fairytale, or Swan Lake! I adore seeing inspiration in collections and as a love of the ballet I can’t help, but draw connections to it here.
